Funeral services for Mable Kate Washington, 78, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 703 Martin St., Bainbridge, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with Mrs. Washington’s grandsons and friends serving as active pallbearers.

Born Jan. 16, 1931, in Terrell County, Ga., Mrs. Washington died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at her residence. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Essie Mae Daniels and Christine Edwards of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
