Funeral services for Lemuel “Junior” Carl Taylor Jr., 66, of Cotton, Ga., were held Sunday, Feb. 8, at the chapel of Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham, Ga., with the Rev. James Cain officiating.
Interment followed in the Hopeful Baptist Church cemetery with Treavor Lee Pollock, Donnie Palmer, James Potts, Jerry Potts, Brian Palmer, Jason Barwick and Barry Williams serving as pallbearers.
Born on Aug. 19, 1942, in Mitchell County, Ga., Mr. Taylor died on Feb. 5, 2009, at his residence. He was a truck driver and attended Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include a companion, Kay Hollingsworth of Cotton, Ga.; three daughters, Karla Lewis of Macon, Ga., Roberta Bush of Newton, Ga., and Paula Hetherington of Orange Park, Fla.; a son, Handley Taylor of Cotton, Ga.; three brothers, Don Taylor and Neadom Palmer, both of Pelham, and Terry Palmer of Bainbridge; three sisters, Diane Pollock of Camilla, Ga., Janice Williams of Albany, Ga., and Vickie Ivins of Pelham, Ga., and 10 grandchildren.
Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham was in charge of funeral arrangements.
