Severe Weather Awareness Week in Georgia

Gov. Sonny Perdue has proclaimed the week of February 1-7 as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Georgia. The designation is intended to encourage citizens to become more aware of severe weather safety measures. The Decatur County Emergency Management Agency and E-911 will be taking part in a test of emergency and weather radio frequencies on Wednesday, February 3. Tips on how to prepare for a thunderstorm and other safety information is available online at www.gema.state.ga.us.
