Funeral services for Allison Miller Jr., 71, of Bainbridge, will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Harrell officiating.
Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Roger Loyless, Danny Shepard, Jimmy Shephard, Rick Kelly, Jeff Kelly and Daniel Shepard serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.
Born April 2, 1937, in Decatur County, Mr. Miller died Sunday, Feb. 1, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Miller served in the Georgia National Guard, retired with more than 20 years at Engelhard, and was a veterinary assistant for Dr. Charles Cooper for more than 20 years. He was an active member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Shephard Miller, of Bainbridge; two sons, Benny Miller and Charlie Miller, both of Bainbridge; a brother, Herman Hatton of Bainbridge; a sister, Betty Decker of Albany, Ga., and two grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
