Memorial services for George M. Eakin, 72, of Lilburn, Ga., will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Living Grace Lutheran Church in Tucker, Ga.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A native of Climax, Ga., Mr. Eakin was retired as a mechanical engineer and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Eakin of Lilburn; a daughter Laura Stickell of Snellville, Ga.; two brothers, William Hanes Eakin Jr. of Georgetown, Ga., and John Eakin of Climax, Ga.; four sisters, Evelyn Atkinson of Beech Island, S.C., Lil Wagner of Destin, Fla., Doris Rauton of Ridge Spring, S.C., and Elaine Sanders of Cairo, Ga.; two step-children, Carol Crawford of Madison, Ga., and James Young of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory in Lilburn, Ga., are in charge of services.
