Funeral services for Barbara Audrey Lightell Stokes, 76, of Biloxi, Miss., were held Friday, Jan. 23, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi.

Interment followed in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Born on Feb. 19, 1932, in New Orleans, La., Mrs. Stokes died on Jan. 21, 2009. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millwood Stokes.

Survivors include a brother, Joseph Lightell of Gulfport, Miss.; nine children, Kathy Strickland of Attapulgus, Belinda Powell of Brinson, Laverne Clayton and Yvonne Johnston, both of D’Iberville, Miss., Buddy Stokes of Ocean Springs, Miss., Roy Stokes and Karen Miller of Biloxi, Miss., John Stokes of Paxton, Ill., and David Stokes of Long Beach, Miss.; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
