Funeral services for Gloria “Louise” Howard, 59, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Jan. 24, with the Rev. Willie Smiley officiating. Interment followed at Jonas Lobe Cemetery, with family and friends serving as the active pallbearers.

Mrs. Howard was born on Aug. 14, 1949, in Donalsonville, Ga. She died on Jan. 18, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

She was a member of Greater Macedonia M.B. Church in Bainbridge. Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Bernard Webb; a sister, Annie Ruth, and a brother, Cornelius.

Survivors include a devoted and loving friend and companion, Frank Townsend; two sisters, Janice Howard of Orlando, Fla., and Brenda Jones of Waynesboro, Ga.; two brothers, Johnny Jr. of Orlando, Fla., and Willie James of Bainbridge, five nephews, five nieces and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
