Services for George P. Pilcher, 85, of Bainbridge, who died on Sunday, Jan. 25, at Memorial Hospital, will be private.

Born on May 21, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio,, Mr. Pilcher was a graduate of South High School in Youngstown, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he worked with Ohio Bell Phone Company for many years and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Pilcher was a former member of the Lion’s Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jeannette Sailer.

Survivors include on son, George R. Pilcher of Westerville, Ohio; two daughters, Karen Irwin of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Karla Beasley of Bainbridge, and five grandchildren.
