Funeral services for Margrine “Bochie” Murphy Murray, 60, of Quincy, Fla., were held Saturday, Jan. 17, at Greenshade African Methodist Episcopal Church in Quincy, Fla. with the Rev. Audrey Powell officiating.
Interment followed at the church cemetery with Lamont Marshall, Greg Murphy, Ronnie Telfair, Maurice Long, Terry Murphy, Carl Moore and Victor Sorey serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Murphy, Harvey Murphy, J.C. Murphy, Willie B. Murphy and Leroy Murphy.
Born in Cuthbert, Ga., on Dec. 14, 1948, Mrs. Murray attended public schools in Decatur County, and she was a member of Greenshade African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the church’s gospel choir and the Quincy Choir Union No. 1. She was preceded in death by a sister.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Murphy and Sylvester Murphy, both of Quincy, Fla.; three daughters, Pamlyn McCray and Wanda Murray, both of Quincy, and Barbara Baker of Daytona, Fla.; five brothers, J.C. Murphy of Attapulgus, Ga., Willie B. Murphy of Havana, Fla., Leroy Murphy and Marvin Murphy, both of Quincy, Fla., and Harvey Murphy of St.
Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Jessie Lee Wiggin of Quincy, Carolrn Bell of Fowlstown, Ga., and Mary Long of St. Petersburg; eight grandchildren and four God children.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
