Funeral services for Elmer Jackson Hutto, 90, of the Mount Pleasant Community, will be held Friday, Jan. 23, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Conrad Salter officiating.

Interment will follow at the church’s cemetery with Larry Bates, Phillip Martin, Greg Brock, Dewey Brock Jr. Brantley Harrell, Wesley Powell and Kenneth Kelley serving as active pallbearers.

Born and raised in Decatur County, Mr. Hutto died on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Memorial Hospital. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Myrtle Harrell Hutto, and a son, Randy McKinley Hutto.

Mr. Hutto is survived by two daughters, Jan Hutto of Bainbridge and Sylvia Hutto McCullers of Gainesville, Fla., and one granddaughter.
