Funeral services for Warren Stone Taylor, 87, of Bainbridge, will be Thursday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Medley officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1500 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819 or First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 155, Bainbridge, GA 39818.
Born on Aug. 17, 1921, in Bainbridge, Mr. Taylor died Monday, Jan. 19, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended Georgia Tech. He was a retired resident civil engineer with Georgia Department of Transportation and a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia King Taylor.
Survivors include two sons, John C. Taylor of Astor, Fla., and James O. Taylor of Macon, Ga.; a daughter, Kaye T. Monello of Tallahassee, Fla.,; a brother, Francis “Chuck” Taylor of Plano, Texas, and seven grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
