Alfred Davis

Funeral services for Alfred James “Junk Yard Dog” Davis, 54, were held Jan. 16 at The Lamb Temple in Bainbridge with the Rev. Willie Lamb officiating.

Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery on Bethel Church Road in Bainbridge with Robert Butler, Jequis Porter, Ronnice Davis, Christopher Eady and Calvin Isom serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Davis, who died at Memorial Hospital, loved doing mechanic work, welding and talking with is friends on his CB radio.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Butler Davis; a daughter, Vivian Marie Davis of Decatur, Ga.; seven sisters, Dianna Porter, Marion Greene, Donnice Butler and Laura Hartley, all of Bainbridge, Mary Nevilles of Romulus, Mich., Sandra Grimsley of Fort Myers, Fla., and Rochelle Davis of Cairo, Ga.; a brother, Ronnice Davis of Bainbridge, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
