Funeral services for Selma Roberts Thomas, 80, of Bainbridge, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Medley and Lynn Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Meigs, Ga., with Bobby Thomas, Jon-Michael Thomas, Jack Thomas Jr., Tommy Bernier, Joe Todd and Dean Tucker Jr. serving as active pallbearers. The Lydia Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born Dec. 8, 1928, in Colquitt County, Ga., Mrs. Thomas died on Wednesday, Jan, at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was a 1946 graduate of Meigs High School, a dental assistant and a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and was very active in the W.M.U.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Thomas of Bainbridge; three sons, Bruce Thomas of Woodstock, Ga., John Thomas of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Alan Thomas of Cobb, Ga.; one brother, Herman L. Roberts of Meigs, Ga.; two sisters, Nell Bernier and Martha Ann Hines of Bainbridge; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
