Estella Hines

Funeral services for Estella Johnson Hines, 90, of Climax, Ga., will be today, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at Mount Moriah No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Edmond Howard Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at Conyers Cemetery in Climax with Eric Hines, James McNair, Gregory Hines, Joe Robinson, Freddie Larkin and John Stephens serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her nephews.

Born in Decatur County, Mrs. Hines died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Hines was retired as a cook from the Decatur County public school system. She was a member of Mount Moriah No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Hines Sr., and her daughter, Gwendolyn Hines.
Survivors are two sons, Mack Wallace Hines of East Point, Ga., and Walter Wayne Hines of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a stepson, Wallace Hines Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son-in-law, Larry Lindsey, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Melton Mortuary in Attapulgus is in charge of arrangements.
