Decatur County EMS held their annual awards and Christmas banquet on Dec. 18.
Special Recognition Awards were given to J. Alan Wilson, M.D., and outgoing County Commissioner Glenda Battle.
Dr. Wilson was recognized for his 11 years of serving as the Decatur County EMS Medical Director, a position he continues to hold.
Battle was recognized for her 24 years of dedicated support for EMS.
Finally, EMS Chief William Hogan presented plaques to Monty Bullock for Paramedic of the Year and Amanda Cloud for EMT of the Year.
Bullock has worked for Decatur County EMS for 13 years and currently serves as lieutenant and field training officer.
Cloud has worked at Decatur County EMS for two years and will start paramedic training at Bainbridge College in January.
“I am proud of all my medics, but am especially proud of the job Monty and Amanda have done this past year,” Hogan said.
