Funeral services for Nettie Hill Yates, 92, of Bainbridge, were held Monday, Jan. 5, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating.

Interment followed at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Yates was born May 11, 1916, in Seminole County, Ga. She died Saturday, Jan. 3, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home in Bainbridge.

Yates graduated from West Bainbridge High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and a member of VFW Post 4904 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Herman Yates, and a son, David M. Yates.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby H. Yates, Jr. of Columbus, Ga., and Hill D. Yates of Bainbridge; a daughter, Phyllis Y. Cook of Bainbridge, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
