Lois Curry

Funeral services for Lois Jessen Curry, 69, of Bainbridge, will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 7, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham, Ga., with Curtis J. Curry Jr., Craig J. Curry, David A. Curry and Scott Humbel serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Curry was born May 14, 1939, in Chicago, Ill. She died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at her residence.

Curry was a graduate of Luther High School, Class of 1957, and she was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Curry dedicated her life to volunteering with youth activities and organizations in the Bainbridge community, including Scout Leader and swim meet director for more than 25 years. She participated in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and activities.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Curtis J. Curry of Bainbridge; three sons, Curtis J. Curry Jr. of Tampa, Fla., Craig J. Curry of Tallahassee, Fla., and David A. Curry of Bainbridge; a daughter, Deborah Humbel of Largo, Fla., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge.
