The Bainbridge Historic Preservation Commission met Dec. 16 and approved a building contractor’s request to make changes to a historic property at 507 Water St. The commission approved a request from A to Z Home Improvement of Jakin, Ga., acting on behalf of Unity of Faith Fellowship Ministry, to replace busted windows and rotten window sills in the building on the property. Board members suggested that all of the building’s windows be replaced so they would have a uniform appearance, said Dustin Dowdy, the city’s planner and an ex-officio member of the commission.
