Lydia Hodges

Lydia F. “Lili” Hodges, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at her residence.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 2, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.

Lili was born January 28, 1936 in Camarillo, CA, the daughter of William Cabrajal Flores and Josephine Soto Flores, and graduated from Oxnard Union High School. She owned and operated restaurants in Bakersfield, CA and Oxnard, CA before moving to Bainbridge in 1980. She was an agent for New York Life Insurance Company for many years and was currently working with Trulock Insurance Agency. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Bainbridge Lions Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Hodges.

Survivors include three daughters, Kim H, Gribbin and her husband Bobby of Royse City, TX, Mia Hodges of Metarie, LA, and Sue Lathe of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Reuben Flores of Oxnard, CA and Moses Flores of Saticoy, CA; a sister, Ruth Harper of San Diego, CA; and two grandchildren, Haley Gribbin and Victoria Lathe.
