Funeral services for Christine Coward Smith, 67, of Columbia, Ala., will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 3 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Columbia, Ala., with the Revs. Don Tew and Robert Johns officiating.

Internment will follow in the church’s cemetery with Toby Spence, Gabe Spence, Lil’ Frank Standifer, Ryan Knowles, Steve “Puppy” Odom and Mark Lovett serving as active pallbearers.

Ms. Smith was born in Seminole County, Ga., on Jan. 2, 1941. She died Sunday, Dec. 21, in Donalsonville, Ga. She was retired after working for a number of years as an LPN at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Nall; a sister, Irene Symonds; and a brother, Eugene Cowart.

Survivors include a son, Michael Smith of Donalsonville; a son-in-law, Mark Nall of Columbia, Ala.; two sisters, Wylene Moseley of Jakin, Ga., and Daphene Spence of Colquitt, Ga.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also survived by the father of her children, Ray Smith of Auburn, Ga.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
