Marshmallows roasting on the square

The city-sponsored Christmas on the Square was well attended Thursday night, with the only thing to worry about being burning your tongue on a marshmallow.
Local downtown vendors stayed open late to allow for some last-minute shopping as Christmas quickly approaches.
Youngsters in attendance roasted marshmallows and enjoyed festive Christmas decorations, some children even running circles around the Christmas tree and presents located in the gazebo.
Many took advantage of two free horse-and-buggy rides that were available circling the historic downtown area adorned with holiday decorations.
Christmas carols were performed on the gazebo steps by a spirited group of kindergartners from Grace Christian Academy, who sang for all to hear.
