Goldie Moore

Funeral services for Goldie Mae Moore, 93, of Decatur County, were held on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at the First African Baptist Church in Bainbridge with the Rev. John Thomas officiating.

Internment followed at Mount Tabor Cemetery with the Rev. Alfred Smith III, officiating. Active pallbearers were Jerrell Breedlove, Paul Moore, Mark Moore, Amos Breedlove, Jr., Joseph Moore and Kenneth Ryan.

Born on Nov. 24, 1915, in Bainbridge, Mrs. Moore Dec. 9 at her home.

She was a long-life member of New Messiah Missionary Baptist Church in Bainbridge, Ga., and Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Isaac Thomas and Mack Coy Moore; a daughter, Bessie Moore, and a son, Luther Moore.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. John Thomas Sr., and Mack Moore Jr.; three daughters, Ella Williams, Gussie Breedlove and Sallie Lane; 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
