Funeral services for Bartholomew “B.J.” Jackson, 77, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be today, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Dothan Highway in Bainbridge with Ronald Durham officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Tabor M.B. Church cemetery in Decatur County.

Born on Jan. 24, 1931, Mr. Jackson died on Dec. 13, 2008, at Bainbridge Health Care. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, Della Thompson Jackson; four sons, Bartholomew Jackson Jr., Andre Jackson, Shawn Jackson and Owen Jackson; a daughter, Leslie Renee Venisee; four sisters, Mark Jackson, Thomas Jackson, K.C. Jackson and Willie Jackson; three sisters, Rossi Brown, Beulah Jackson and Bettye Jackson; five step-children and four grandchildren.
