Funeral services for Ellie Myrtice Harvell Brock, 78, of Leesburg, Ga., was Friday, Dec. 5, at the Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Barnette officiating.

Interment followed at Brock Cemetery with Jerry Cooper, Church Ponder, Mike Brock, Ricky Spooner, Ronny Spooner and Delroy Thomas serving as active pallbearers.

Born in Decatur County on Dec. 17, 1929, Mrs. Brock died at her home on Dec. 2, 2008. She lived in Decatur County for 24 years before moving to Leesburg, Ga. She as a secretary of environmental services at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Ga., and she was a member of Attapulgus Methodist Church and the Albany Golden Key Club.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Howard Brock of Leesburg; a son, David Howard Brock of Leesburg; three daughters, Martha Ann Cox and Frankie Eaton, both of Leesburg, and Linda Fitzgerald of Albany; a sister, Janie Spooner of Attapulgus; a brother, Rudolph Harvell of Fowlstown, Ga.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home in Bainbridge was in charge of arrangements.
