Singer, storyteller and folk-theologian Ed Kilbourne will perform at the First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge on Monday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Kilbourne, who began his career in the early 1960s singing in folk groups while in high school and college, is known for his moving music, quirky humor and insightful monologues. He combines acoustic guitar, keyboards and singing with a storytelling style that has been compared to that of Garrison Keillor, the radio humorist from “Lake Wobegon.” Kilbourne’s wife, Kathleen, is a United Methodist minister and serves as director of the Masters of Arts in Christian Education program at Pfeiffer University. The Kilbournes make their home near Rock Hill, S.C.
