City of Bainbridge Public Works employees are putting the finishing touches on a new 30-foot Christmas tree that is topped by a 4-foot star, which will be a part of a new upcoming holiday celebration. Christmas on the River will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, which will replace the city’s Candlelight Walking Tour. The new event will feature local church choirs and soloists singing in the Performing Arts Building. A ceremony lighting the tree will be a highlight.
