Reynolds is Bainbridge High’s DAR essay contest winner

Ben Reynolds, a senior at Bainbridge High School is this year’s Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen award winner for that school. Reynolds plans to attend either Yale, Harvard, Davidson or Johns Hopkins. A member of the Bearcats football and wrestling teams, Reynolds said he hopes to play football while attending college. He plans to go into the medical field. Reynolds was chosen for his academic standing and extra-curricular activities, for good citizenship qualities and for an essay he wrote on the topic of “Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving It.” From the left, are Tommie Howell, principal of Bainbridge High School; Reynolds, son of Dr. John and Jean Reynolds of Bainbridge; and Carolyn Pierce, a member of the Bainbridge chapter of the DAR.
