Funeral services for Andrew Jackson “Jack” Harrison, 78, of Bainbridge, will be held Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Bainbridge with the Rev. Carl Garnett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery, Climax, with Joshua Amarasa, Terry Harrison, Michael Harrison, Jason Phillips, Steve DeSherlia and Scott Harlan acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Harrison was born June 30, 1930, in Grady County, Ga., and died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, in Bainbridge.

He worked in construction and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hendrixson Harrison, and a grandson, A.J. Fountain.

He is survived by one daughter, Gwendolyn Whigham of Bainbridge; sons, Marvin Harlan of Macon and Jim VanTine of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Preston Harrison and Willie Lee Harrison, both of Cairo; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, 334 S. Broad St., Cairo.
