Funeral services for Elizabeth Harris, 102, of 109 Philyaw Rd., Fowlstown, Ga., were held Saturday, Oct. 18, at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church of Attapulgus, Ga., with Elder Jimmy Simmons officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery with Michael Anderson, Eric Hamilton, Andrae Carter, Michael Hamilton and Barrette Jackson serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Harris, “Aunt Lizzie,” as she was called, was born in Decatur County, Ga., and passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

She was a member of Saint Paul Primitive Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris.

She is survived by her nieces, Leatha Gamble, Addie R. Rogers, both of Fowlstown, Annie Lois of West Palm Beach, Fla., singer Gladys Knight of Gladys Knight and the Pips, and Grace Fields of Tallahassee, Fla.; nephews, Eddie James McKelvey of West Palm Beach and James Brown of Bainbridge and other relatives.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
