Funeral services for Chastine Frasier Burke, 83, of Iron City, Ga., were held Thursday, Oct. 16, in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Boomer officiating.

Interment followed in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City with David Spooner, Dennis Spooner, Jack Newberry, Tony Atkinson, Troy Sheffield and Willie Harrell serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Burke was born in Tift County, Ga., and died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, in Donalsonville, Ga.

She was a member of New Life Church International in Tallahassee, Fla., and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sylvester Burke, and a son, Thomas Edward Burke.

She is survived by two sons, Joe Burke of Donalsonville and Pastor Travis Burke of Tallahassee; two sisters, Pauline West of Tampa, Fla., and Thamara Smith of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
