The Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA has hired Suzanne Brandt as the organization’s membership director.

YMCA CEO Kevin Angell said Brandt brought all the intangibles to the job.

“She has a great reputation in this town, and she is extremely well thought of,” Angell said. “When you put that with the skills she is bringing to the job itself, it makes her the best candidate for the job. Every box had a tick. I was tickled to death that she even applied in the first place.”

In addition to handling membership duties, Angell has put a twist on the job. Brandt will also be involved in marketing and help take the Y “to the next level as far as visibility in the community,” Angell said.

“I am so thankful to have this opportunity to work with the YMCA,” Brandt said. “The ‘Y’s’ traditional impact and great facilities continue to benefit our area, and I am honored to be the newest staff member.”

Brandt will take full advantage of promoting the YMCA on social medial platforms, Angell said.

She is expected to begin Monday, Feb. 1.
