Swine Time run draws large crowd of racers

Evan Beauchamp, a Smyrna attorney and son of Bainbridge dentist Doctor David Beauchamp, won his second consecutive Swine Time 5K Run championship Saturday in Climax.

Beauchamp, who has qualified for the prestigious 2016 Boston Marathon had an overall winning time of 17:50. The top female finisher Amber Braswell, who finished seventh overall, had a time of 20:24.

Braswell is a 2013 graduate of Bainbridge High School, where she ran cross-country and played soccer. This season she ran for coach Justin Lovone’s Columbus State University Lady Cougars,

Both winning runners agreed that pacing yourself for the final hill was important.

“You just have to pace yourself on a course like Swine Time,” Beauchamp said. “The course is mostly flat on black top and dirt but there is a hill on the way back that is pretty steep.”

Special guest for the Swine Time run was Herb Wills, a former top finishing American in the Boston Marathon. He was filming the event for Tallahassee’s Gulf Winds Track Club.

The top three 13 and under male division finishers wereHunterIkeman wit a time of 24:25, Jaren Cook with a time of 26:18 and Ellis Ikeman with a time of 28:09 and the top three top three 13 and under female finishers were Mallie McRaewith a time of 23:40. Ovella Ariail with a time of 28:54 and Amaia Ariail with a time of 28:55.

The top 14 to 19 male division finishers were Clay Blanton with a time of 19:41, Luke Allegood with a time of 20:15 and Perry Waddell with a time of 21:53.The top 14 to 19 female finishers were Caitlin Shephard with a time of 25:59, Hannah Clock with a time of 28:52 and Mary Lee McQuigg with a time of 34:31.

The top two 20 to 29 year old male finishers were Shaquille Edwards with a time of 26:00 and Isaac Rogers with a time of 26:30. The top three 20 to 29 year old female finishers were Chelsey Beauchamp with a time of 22:47, Adrian Parker with a time of 35:00 and Sarah Rogers with a time of 38:44.

The top three 30 to 39 year old male finishers were juoe White with a time of 20:28, Derrick Auten with a time of 22:55 and Jamie Ard with a time of 25:50.The top three 30 to 39 year old female finishers were Donoca Qilliams with a time of 25:18, Meg Johnson with a time of 25:34 and Rachel White with a time of 26:22.

The top three 40 to 49 year old male division finishers were Michael Martinez with a time of 17:53, Myles Gibson with a time of 18:24 and Greg Waddell with a time of 19:33. The top three 40 to 49 year old female division finishers were

Anda Lucia Ariail with a time of 25:25, Suzanne Angell with a time of 25:44 and Andrea Weckherlin with a time of 26:27.

The top three 50 to 59 year old male division finishers were jay Herring with a time of 22:50, Gumby Weckherlin with a tie of 24:24 and Morris Davis with a time of 25:17. The top three 50 to 59 year old female division winners were Cathy Jones with a time of 27:03, Pam Martin Wellswith a time of 29:57 and Patricia Davis with a time of 41:01.

The top two male 60 year old and older finishers were Jim Tully with a time of 23:12 and Joe Edgecombe with a time of 25:39. The top two 60 year old and older female division finishers were Marty Kirklandwith a time of 29:35 and Judy Edgecombe with a time of 46:14. The top two 70 year old and older male division winners were Doctor Sydney Cochran with a time of 35:36 and Tom Crine with a time of 38:05.
