The article entitled “Suit Claims Private Probation Company Wrongfully Detains Poor” in the Saturday, April 18, 2015 edition of The Post – Searchlight was very disturbing.  However, there is one primary concern that I am compelled to address in this forum.

The concern is of a personal nature in that, due to the similarity of business names and the possible confusion of the missions of both businesses, some might conclude that I and my private business are somehow involved in the actions set forth by the article. To clarify any misconceptions held by the readers of The Post – Searchlight and others who might draw the same conclusions, I submit the following:

I, Larry Nichols, am the owner and sole employee of Red Hills Counseling Services, LLC in Bainbridge, Georgia.  I do not have any personal or professional affiliation with Red Hills Community Probation, which is based in Cairo, Georgia, nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations reported in the article.
