Contractors in Bainbridge have a great opporunity next week

A great opportunity exists for our local construction contractors and subcontractors next Tuesday at the Kirbo Center on the campus of Bainbridge State College.
The operators of the huge solar panel project under construction now near the Decatur County Industrial Park will hold an informational session at 2 p.m. to describe the vast opportunities for our local workforce.
The site preparation and installation of over one million individual solar panels on almost 1000 acres will be a monumental task and much local manpower will be needed. We encourage companies in the construction business to take advantage of this opportunity and attend the meeting.
This project is the result of the great work of Rick McCaskill, executive director of the Industrial Development Authority of Bainbridge and Decatur County. Several years in the making, this is a textbook example of local economic development, with the creation of local jobs and the generation of tax revenue.
Thanks to the IDA, the City of Bainbridge, the DecaturCounty Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, and Bainbridge State College for partnering to facility this important meeting.
