Poplar Spring M.B. Church, near Climax and Whigham, will begin their annual Revival at 7 p.m. nightly through Friday, Aug. 2, with Pastor Dr. Daniel Simmons of Mt. Zion M.B. Church of Albany leading the services.

First African Baptist Church, located at 115 Church St., West Bainbridge, will observe the ordination of Trustee Clay Jeffery as Deacon at a 6 p.m. service with Rev. Alexander Mack delivering the message.

• Kingdom Harvest Fellowship Church, will sponsor a Back to School Giveaway outreach ministry from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free haircuts, school supplies, clothes, lunch and activities, to be held at the future home site on Attapulgus-Climax Road. Contact 229-225-8862 for more information.

Harvest Beyond Ministries, located at 1610 Old Quincy Rd., Bainbridge, will host the Favored by God Ministries Prophetess Diana Williams at 10 a.m.

Pine Hill M.B. Church, located at 1048 Pine Hill Church Road, will celebrate the church’s 146th anniversary at 2:30 p.m.

Travelers Rest M.B. Church, located at 661 Cal Thomas Rd., Whigham, will observe their annual Men’s Day at the 11:15 a.m. service with Moderator Sylvester Williams bringing the message entitled “Men of God.”

Friday, August 9

• Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, located at 5008 Vada Road, Climax, will host the Young at Heart Social at 6:30 p.m. with “Cousin Arthur,” aka the Rev. Andy Hall of Delwood Baptist Church, who recently appeared on national TV from the RFDTV theatre in Branson. His standup comedy routine is described as clean country humor. A covered dish meal will follow his performance.

• Morning Star Free Will Baptist Church, located at White Bridge and Twilight Road in Miller County, will celebrate its 143rd anniversary, with Pastor Belinda Corley and Magnolia M.B. Church in charge. On Sunday the 11th, there will be a 2 p.m. service with Pastor Donnie Williams and Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in charge. Dinner will be served.

 

Saturday, August 10

Magnolia M.B. Church, located at 121 Center St., near the fairgrounds, will observe the Choir Anniversary at 6 p.m.

• Fibromyalgia and Toxic Shock Syndrome, a program on the possible connection between the two will be given at the Gilbert H. Gragg Library at 11 a.m. and again on Monday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. For more information contact Denise, 352-356-1728.
