• Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, located at 5008 Vada Road, Climax, will host the Young at Heart Social at 6:30 p.m. with “Cousin Arthur,” aka the Rev. Andy Hall of Delwood Baptist Church, who recently appeared on national TV from the RFDTV theatre in Branson. His standup comedy routine is described as clean country humor. A covered dish meal will follow his performance.

• Morning Star Free Will Baptist Church, located at White Bridge and Twilight Road in Miller County, will celebrate its 143rd anniversary, with Pastor Belinda Corley and Magnolia M.B. Church in charge. On Sunday the 11th, there will be a 2 p.m. service with Pastor Donnie Williams and Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in charge. Dinner will be served.

 

Saturday, August 10

Magnolia M.B. Church, located at 121 Center St., near the fairgrounds, will observe the Choir Anniversary at 6 p.m.
