The Rev. Wayne P. and Janet Cook, of Monticello, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lyndsey Cook, to Alex Bell, of Bainbridge. Mr. Bell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bell and of Susanne Cloud.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nina Sue Crowell and the late J. Robert Crowell, and of Ruth D. Cook. She is also the granddaughter of the late Hiram P. Cook and Alma Cook.

Miss Cook is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, Reading and ESOL.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Theresa Bell, the late Tyson Bell, and of the late Harriet and Bill Cloud.

Mr. Bell is a graduate of Bainbridge High School, and is attending Tallahassee Community College majoring in medical technology.

The wedding is planned for July 27, at 3 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, in Monticello, Fla.
