State Sen. John Bulloch is in “good” condition at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga., according to an article posted online by The Albany (Ga.) Herald (www.albanyherald.com).

The Herald cited family members, who said that Bulloch, a farmer by trade, was hospitalized with meningitis. He was reportedly admitted to the intensive care unit at Archbold last week, after getting ill. Archbold officials told The Herald that the state senator is in “good” condition and is improving.

Bulloch (R-Thomasville) was first sworn into the state senate in 2003 to represent District 11. He currently serves as the chairman of the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs committee, the vice chair of the Natural Resources and the Environment committee, a member of the Appropriations and Rules committees and an ex-officio member of the Banking and Financial Institutions committee.
