Julie Heard and Ralph Edward Jones were married April 21, 2012, in an early-evening wedding performed on the Kelly Green at Alys Beach, Fla.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Medley, under a pergola enhanced with cascading orchids and white roses. White French tulips, hydrangeas, peonies and Ranunculus in crystal vases outlined the white runner and pergola of the wedding site.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Glenn Heard, wore an ivory Rivini strapless wedding dress adorned with tiers of varied Alençon lace, creating a trumpet silhouette. The dress was accented with a crystal beaded belt at the waist and scalloped lace in the low back. She carried a bouqet of white anemones, Lilies of the Valley and apricot and white peonies.

Becky Heard Guagliardo, the sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Attendants were Jenna Alderman, Susie Blalock, Christine Dubose, McKenna Lewis, Ashley McGahee, Karri Parramore, Maggie Valotton and Courtney Willis. They all wore matching knee length dresses in paprika, featuring V-neck bodices and A-line skirts. They carried clutch bouquets of white anemones and apricot peonies.
The groom’s father, Ralph Dewey Jones, served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Connor Bowen, Parker Heard, David Hester, Gary King, Adam Kinnard, Wheat Kirbo, Jon Lee and Jim Martin.

The mother of the bride, Lee Ann Heard, wore a street-length dress of gold, irridescent silk taffeta with a matching bolero jacket, while Sharon Jones, the mother of the groom, wore a chocolate brown, lace cocktail dress with three quarter sleeves. Both mothers carried small nosegays of gardenias.
Providing vocal music were Mike Greene, Beth Briggs and Allison Barber, all of Bainbridge.

The reception was held at the Central Park Green at Alys Beach.

Following a honeymoon in Riviera Cancún, Mexico, the couple is at home in Tifton, Ga.

The bride is a sales representative with Physician Sales and Service and the groom is a financial advisor with Valic.
