Sandra’s mother, Helen Norris Huckeba, a 1944 graduate of Climax High School, brother Randy Huckeba, and sister-in-law Linda Huckeba all made a special trip to visit the Josey family in Climax.

The weekend was special because Kenneth and Sandra were being baptized into Community Primitive Baptist Church, but the visitors made it even more special as they traveled all the way from Eustis, Fla., to see daughter, son-in-law and sister at this precious time in their life.

Helen said what made the trip even more special was that she graduated from Climax High School in 1944, and the school building is still there.

Congratulations Kenneth and Sandra, and a big Climax “welcome home” to Helen Huckeba.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is with the family of Mrs. Ruby Ezell during their time of grief. Climax and the Pine Forest community lost a very special lady when Mrs. Ruby passed away. She was always encouraging to this reporter. She would say, “Good job Jean Ann, I always read the columns to Dottie, and we enjoy every one of your columns.” She especially like the chicken articles.

On her 90th birthday, I did an article about her party, and she was so appreciative. Our loss, but Heaven’s gain. Miss Ruby, as she was known by all who knew and loved her, will be greatly missed.
