Gordon Wells Cannon was born May 6, 1952, in El Paso, TX, the son of Brewer & Gladys Goff Cannon. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and worked 35 years at Shaw Industries as a mechanic. Hank was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Hank was the “never say no guy”. He was always busy and always available. Even after retiring from Shaw, he decided to spend a few years working with Yard Shapers.
He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, and fishing. Hank loved pouring into younger folks and “teaching” them about fishing. He proudly sponsored Bainbridge BassCats and beamed with pride at weigh ins. Those who knew him well knew a hot pizza from Domino’s was the best money could buy according to Hank.
Survivors include his children, Melissa Cannon of Valdosta, Matthew & Melissa Cannon of Brinson, and Victoria Johnson & Chase Rawlings of Colquitt; his grandchildren, Jennifer & Grant, Haley & Josh, Zoe, Ryker, Connie, Gordon, Hadleigh, Harper, and Hudson; his great-grandchildren, Bryson, Madison, Anna Claire, and Nathaniel; and his sister, Inez Whittle and her husband, Paul. In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his son, Dustin Wells Cannon and his siblings, Pat Cannon, Terry Cannon, and Mike Cannon.
