Dena Susan Darley, 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dena Susan Darley was born August 7, 1970, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Stacey & Linda Butler Darley. As a hometown girl, she kept in the know through social media, especially Facebook, and texting. Dena was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Music soothed Dena’s soul. She enjoyed a variety of genres including 80s, 90s, and Hip Hop. She was never at a loss in the kitchen but would head to town in a skinny minute for Chinese food. Watching the Georgia Bulldogs could get her riled up on game day, and she would talk about the win or the loss in preparation for the next game. Dena’s cats never really realized they were felines as she treated them like her children. She found they lent a listening ear when she needed them most.

Survivors include her children, Ashlie McLendon Maestri (Timothy) of Iron City, Halie McLendon Simpson (Brandon) of Colquitt, and Dylan Chandler of Blakely; her grandchildren, Timmy, Saylor, and Benjamin; her siblings, Bryan & Nancy Darley, Kristen Darley, and Ciarra Darley; and her step-father, Mark Darley. Dena was preceded in death by her parents.
