Mark Eakin was born June 2nd, 1957, in Climax, GA, the son of Vanburen and Jeanette Eakin. Mark worked as a local tree surgeon for more than twenty years and loved fishing and playing with his grandkids every chance he had.
Mark was a generous, kind and hardworking man who made sure his family was always taken care of. His grandkids loved “trips to Papa’s house” as he greeted them with the largest smile and big bear hugs. The best times included Mark being with his wife, Debra, as he never failed to make her smile. Mark’s legacy will forever live on as everyone in Bainbridge knew he didn’t meet a stranger. We cherish the simplicity Mark brought wherever he went and humbleness he left on earth.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; his son, Dustin (Ashleigh); his grandchildren, Damascus, Emmaus, Harbor and Haven; his brothers, Joel (Nora) and Earl; and his sisters, Kay Clees (James) and Debra King (Jon Ricky). In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Rodney, Dennis, Steve, and Arthur.
