Cathy Bramblett Widner, 70, of Newnan, Ga., passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Memorial donations may be made to Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Cathy Angeline Bramblett was born November 11, 1951, in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Ivell M. “Bram” & Anne Gurley Bramblett. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969. Cathy worked for many years at Southern States Printing in Griffin and retired from Fashion Industries. 

Cathy was a straight shooter never leaving you wondering where you stood, or where she stood, on an issue. She knew the benefit of working hard and gave every task 110%. Her work ethic developed from waiting tables she could barely see over at Bram’s. Cathy was that “fun friend” who kept her tail in the proverbial crack. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making you laugh. She never forgot A. Single. Thing. Ever. so her stories were always a treat. Cathy loved big and unconditionally. She wanted to know your story and everything about you. Cathy would give you her last dime if she thought you needed it and considered herself blessed to be the one to share with you.

Survivors include her children, Leland & Elaine Haig-Widner of Seattle, WA; her siblings, Carol B. Pearson and Jim Bramblett both of Bainbridge; her sister-in-law and very dear friend, Pat Heller-Bramblett; several nieces & nephews; and her childhood friend & confidant, Flora Humphrey. In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Ivell M. Bramblett, Jr., and her brother-in-law, Steve Pearson.
