Bearcats lose to Starr’s Mill High School in second play-off game

The BHS Varsity baseball team faced off against Starr’s Mill High School on Monday afternoon in a doubleheader for the second round of play-offs, ultimately losing both games, 2-9 and 3-7. In the first game, Parker Landrum made two hits and one run, while Chase Parker made a single hit and run. Bo Smith, Chris Cooper, Owen Richard, Drew Clayton and Logan Rich all made hits as well. On the mound, Cooper pitched 5.1 innings with five strikeouts, while Cain Worthington pitched 1.2 innings.

In the second game, Landrum had a single hit and single run each, while Smith and Keenan Phillips made a run each. Cooper, Rich and Koby Wynn also made hits. Back on the mound, Wynn pitched two innings with three strikeouts, while Brooks Hines pitched four innings and made two strikeouts. This loss unfortunately brought the Bearcat’s season to an end.
