Derrick S. Lambert, 43, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Derrick Steven Lambert was born October 5, 1979, in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Wendell & Lenell Griffin Lambert. He attended Bainbridge High School and proudly served in the United States Army from 1997-2000. Derrick was Methodist by faith.

Raised in a family that lives by “blood is thicker than water”, Derrick understood the importance of this foundation. He learned to love his children unconditionally following the example his parents set. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing which gave him time to reflect and find the peacefulness his heart desired.

Survivors include his children, Daryn Lambert of Milledgeville, Ga., and Alec Lambert of Bainbridge, Ga.; his mother, Lenell Griffin Lambert; his brother, Rodney Lambert and his wife, Tina; his nephew, Cody Lambert; and his great-aunt, Bernice Yates Tufts. Derrick was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Lambert, and his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Leslie Lambert, Robert Griffin, and Annis “Sister” Griffin.
