Members of the Chamber of Commerce gathered together off Shotwell Street on Thursday afternoon to hold the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Infuse Aesthetics and Wellness. The practice offers various cosmetic procedures and therapies, ranging from botox, to dermal filler injections, and even vampire facials.

Owned by Bainbridge native Brittney Tyus, the practice opened in August of last year. Having received her RN degree at Bainbridge College and her Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Tyus is no stranger to the world of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery. “I’ve actually been doing aesthetics for probably almost four years, kind of on and off,” she said.

Since setting up shop in Bainbridge, Tyus stated that they have had a positive reception. “The community has been very supportive,” she said. “I had a lot of patients that followed me from other places, so it’s been steadily growing. Word’s spreading, and it’s been a very good response.”

According to Tyus, one of the treatments offered that sets them apart from the competition is the aforementioned vampire facial. “That’s where you draw your blood, and you spin your blood down to get your platelets, your stem cells and growth factors, and then we are able to put that on your face to help regenerate your skin,” she explained. “We can do the face, or anywhere on the body, because it’s your own product.”

Chamber president Lauren Minor spoke at the ceremony, saying, “I know that this seems like just the cutting of a ribbon, but in actuality, it’s a dream come true for you, and so we’d like to recognize that.”
