Lynda Bergeron, 65, of Faceville, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Cool Springs Cemetery with Dr. Ernie Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Lynda Carol Smith was born May 7, 1957, in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of Raymond & Pauline Johnson Smith. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1975. Lynda married Richard Bergeron in 1976, and they made their home in Decatur County. She was Baptist by faith.

Lynda lived a simple life enjoying the wonders of the outdoors. Some of her favorite activities included gardening and fishing. Hummingbirds could capture her eye in a second, and flowers in bloom filled her heart with the colors of The Creator. Though her pets provided companionship and brought her much joy, Meghan was the apple of Lynda’s eye.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard K. Bergeron; her daughter, Meghan Bergeron of Idaho; her brothers, Raymond (Carol) Smith of Donalsonville, Marshall Smith, David Smith, James Smith, and Carl Smith all of Bainbridge; her special cousin, Rita Temples of Damascus, Ga.; her sisters-in-law, Rita and Regina; and a host of extended family. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents.
