Geraldine Wimberley Anderson, age 79, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Open Arms Ministry with Naomi Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel.

Geraldine was born August 21, 1943 in Bainbridge, Georgia the daughter of Ford Wimberley and Lillie Pearl Wimberley. She graduated from Bainbridge High School with the class of 1962. Geraldine worked at Reeve’s Linens and Gifts for many years. She attended Open Arms Ministry. She was a very involved mother, grandmother, and was a community Mema. Geraldine could often be found attending her grandchildren’s events. She loved baking cakes, cooking southern food for her family, and sewing. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and singing gospel music.

Survivors include her children, Pamela A. Odom (Doug); Paula Odom, and Trina Anderson (Tanya); grandchildren, Seth Cloud (Alicia), Jessica Moye Thompson (Tim), Nyles Odom, Jada Anderson, Noah Anderson, Savannah Anderson, and Phenix Anderson; great- grandchildren, Cason Thompson, Loghan Thompson, Aubree Cloud, and Lincoln Thompson; sister, Edwina Kelley (Dan); numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime companion, Bobby Lodge.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip Devon Anderson; and her siblings, Norman Wimberley, Gloria Anderson, and Steve Wimberley .
