Jeffrey Allen Gainous, 56, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022.

A celebration of life service will be held at Spring Creek at a later date.

Jeffrey Allen Gainous was born November 8, 1965, in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Louie & Olga Glover Gainous. He was a graduate of Whigham High School, Class of 1985. He earned an associates in electronics from RETS Electronic Institute. Jeff opened Bainbridge Business Systems in 2004 and most recently worked as maintenance director at Hampton Inn. He was Christian by faith.

Jeff was intrigued with technology. He worked on copiers and computers for most of his adult life. Often he spent hours resolving issues for family and friends free of charge. Family was always a priority and his granddaughter, Emileigh, was the light of his life. Jeff enjoyed fishing and camping. He was proud of his claim to fame as a member of the 1982 Bainbridge Bearcat State Championship football team.

Survivors include his son, Ryan Gainous of Bainbridge; his granddaughter, Emileigh; and his sister, Karen Jones and her husband, Tim, of Cairo; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his children, Taylor Gainous & Ben Gainous; and his brother, Carlton Gainous.
