The Harvest House of Hope is preparing for their annual golf tournament fundraiser, scheduled for Friday, July 15, at the Crooked Oak Golf Club in Colquitt. According to board member Cissie Franklin, this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. “We’d appreciate your support in any way,” she said.

There are multiple items being raffled and auctioned as part of the fundraiser, including a football signed by Kirby Smart, a four-man hunt at Southwind, and a deep-sea fishing trip out of Port St. Joe. All funds raised go to support the Harvest House.

Franklin told the Post-Searchlight that 144 people participated in last year’s tournament, ultimately raising enough money to put down new flooring at the building. There are currently 22 four-man teams registered to compete this year, with a 36 team cap. Registration is $50.00 per person; sponsorships and donations are also an acceptable way to support the Harvest House. There are two tee times, 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; registration for these is at 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively, with lunch also at noon.
